Tent City and Rann Utsav are two separate events that are not interchangeable. Everyone is welcome to go to Rann Utsav, but the only people who are permitted to enter Tent City are those who are living there on prior booking.

At Rann Utsav, there is an abundance of vendors and businesses, as well as places to dine and take selfies.

There are cultural activities organized there, but there is no set schedule for them. The BSF Camel Show begins somewhere about 5 o'clock.

In order to visit the White Desert, which is located along the route, you are going to need a permit, and getting one might take up to an hour if there is a lot of traffic. There is a form that has to be filled out with information on visitors and their vehicles. The permit charge is one hundred dollars per person and fifty dollars each automobile. At Dhordo, the permission will be scrutinized by the Border Security Force (BSF). At the entrance to the white desert, there is plenty of room for parking cars.

Arrive in the white desert at four in the afternoon and walk inwards; alternatively, you may take a camel cart trip. The kachcha road that leads to the high elevation point in Rann is where the camel ride takes place. In such case, you may just walk on the salty surface if you leap off the road.

Timing is not a concern when it comes to being in Rann. It is possible to complete Great Rann and return to Bhuj in a single day. You may also add a visit to Kalo Dungar, popularly known as Black Hill, to the itinerary of the tour.

Dhordo is quite close to Bhuj Rail Way Station. However, Rajkot Junction Railway Station is a significant railway station located 175 kilometres from Tent City Dhordo Village.

Stay in Rann Utsav the Tent City or other Camp Sites or Bhungas/Home stays,  where you will have the opportunity to sleep in tents under the full white moon. Tourists may camp near the white Rann of Kutch in either Standard or Luxury Tents. Every winter for three months as part of Gujarat Tourism and Kutch Tourism, the Gujarat Government decided to build up a Tent City near White Rann. Thousands of people converge during the Kutch Festival to see the Rann of Kutch festival or Kutch Rann utsav to view Kutch attractions or tourism locations. Rann Utsav means a happening Tent city with more than 300+ Tents, attached washrooms, western commodes, AC and Heaters, luxury beds, and fully functional dinning area, meditation room, club, spa, outdoor activity zone, kids zone, and a slew of other cutting-edge facilities that will leave you wondering whether you are in a Tent city or a metropolis. However, this does not imply that you will lose the sense of Rann; it will be with you at all times, and the USP of Rann Utsav is to merge the raw feel of Kutch desert with the greatest facilities to make your stay unforgettable.

Kutchi specialties differ greatly from traditional Gujarati food, which includes jowar and bajra rotla, garlic chutney, osaman chutti khichdi, and buttermilk.

Drink plenty of water, buttermilk, Chaas, Lassi, and other regional specialties.

Stay in Rann Utsav Tents, which offers a variety of comforts in the centre of the white desert. Under addition, the Gujarat government has implemented a 'Home Stay' policy in which 2000 rooms are made accessible near Dhordo Village in Kutch.
